Mildura Weekly : Friday December 12 Vol 9 No 6
26 FEATURE MILDURA WEEKLY FRIDAY, DECEMBER 12, 2014 RANFURLY Primary School WELCOME TO RANFURLY, 21 YEARS ON...... As newly-appointed Principal to Ranfurly it is with great pride that I continue my work in our district, developing young minds at this great school. I have discovered so many deep and rich rituals that our school has developed over a number of years, from committed teachers, parents and school leaders who had true passion and vision for our community. This year we said farewell to a long-standing successful Principal, Mr Gary Green, and thank him for his work over the past decade. We now move into a new stage for the school; one of deep learning, developing the 'curiosity' of students and a student-centred approach to what we do. A school that has 'High Expectations' for all, and engages with the community to build and celebrate success. Our school has a short history in the district, but one that has long been ingrained in the development of a community. Please join us over the next few years in our very exciting 'next steps.’ - Dennis Mitchell - Principal Congratulations RANFURLY PRIMARY SCHOOL on your 21st Birthday Phone: 03 5024 2328 27 Ilex St RED CLIFFS RED CLIFFS BAKERY Daniel Minter CAKES Cnr Eighth St & Etiwanda Ave, Mildura p 5023 3902 e firstname.lastname@example.org Congratulating Ranfurly Primary School on 21 successful years providing electrical solutions S hop 12 Mildura Homemaker Centre Corner 15th St & Benetook Ave P. 5023 7179 E. email@example.com CONGRATULATIONS R ANFURLY PRIMARY SCHOOL ON YOUR 21ST BIRTHDAY AUDIO VISUAL SPECIALISTS 107a EIGHTH ST. MILDURA PHONE 5022 1070 CONGRATULATIONS TO THE RANFURLY PRIMARY SCHOOL ON THEIR 21ST BIRTHDAY HOW GREAT THOU ART... Providing opportunities for our students in the Arts is vital to their development; creativity, confidence, speech development and singing all provide the means to do this. These are all options provided by programs on offer, as well as gifted programming for students who excel in the arts. The approaching school year is a ‘School Musical’ year for Ranfurly students. Students can be involved in all aspects of the stage show, and for the first time in a number of years the event will be back at Mildura Arts Centre. FOCUS ON LITERACY Literacy Learning is a key focus in the curriculum, and children are involved in rigorous individualised programming that caters for their ‘next learning’ need. Children learn at different levels and pace and delivering a quality program that understands this is vital. MATHS NOT A PROBLEM Ranfurly has highly-skilled teachers engaging students in all things Maths. This is vital to the development of problem-solving skills in life, as well as at school.
