The aim of the project is to deliver a robust set of guidelines to ensure that development is designed to reflect, enhance and respond to the desired visual, cultural and built character of the Avenue. The outcome of this project is to integrate with the continuing proposed landscape works for the Avenue’s median in accordance with the Deakin Avenue Master Plan 2006. Three stages are proposed including the Key Issues Report (KIR), the Strategic Vision and Objectives (SVO), leading finally to the preparation of the Urban Design Guidelines (UDG). As part of Stage1, Council invites you to contribute with issues or ideas associated with the Avenue. Contributions are welcomed via online survey or by returning the feedback form available online at www. mildura.vic.gov.au/haveyoursay Name and contact details are required for Council to consider these contributions and to notify you of the opportunity to attend Council meetings and any other consultation sessions. The closing date for contributions of ideas or issues is Wednesday 10 June 2015. All contributions will be acknowledged. Restricted Opening Hours Rio Vista Historic House 199 Cureton Avenue, Mildura Rio Vista Historic House will have restricted opening hours during June and July due to restoration works. We apologise for an inconveniences. Merbein Drainage Inspections Council contractors are assessing the conditions of storm water drainage lines throughout Merbein. The contractors, Plumbing and Pipeline Solutions, will be inspecting underground pipes in Merbein between Wednesday 10 June and Thursday 2 July and again between Tuesday 7 July and Friday 31 July. In order to carry out their inspections, contractors will access the drainage network via various pits throughout town. In some instances, access to private property may be required.
