Joywood Fashions a local icon Mildura’s Joywood Fashions is arguably one of the most well-known ladies fashion businesses in the region, boasting nearly five decades in the industry. Owned and operated by Joyce, Andrea and Tracie Wood, Joywood Fashions specialises in all facets of ladies fashion, with the business aiming to help women of all ages and sizes feel and look their best. Located at 91 Lime Avenue Mildura, Joywood Fashions also specialises in jewellery and clothing sourced from Bali, India, Thailand and China as well as fashion made in Australia. The business was established 45 years ago, evolving into the success it is today. “Mum (Joyce) had a dream and started a small business in an upstairs room in Thirteenth Street,” Andrea said. “At one stage we had three stores in Mildura, one in Swan Hill and one in Adelaide, before condensing the business into one big store here in Mildura. “Our business is one of the most enduring, privately-owned fashion stores in Australia, and carries a large volume of colourful, flattering fashion that is affordable and versatile no matter your size or destination,” Andrea said. “The business is ever evolving, and we are continually seeking exciting new lines from Australia and overseas.” Joywood Fashions is open 9.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, and 9am to 1pm on Saturday, with more information available by contacting 5023 1121, by visiting www.joywood.com.au, or via email; firstname.lastname@example.org. Located at 2109 Fifteenth Street, Irymple, Jo and Natalie have been the faces behind the Irymple Post Office, Newsagency and Tattslotto for more than 12 years, and in that time have built a reputation as a one-stop shop for postage, papers, gifts and tattslotto needs. Taken over in 2003, Irymple Post Office, Newsagency and Tattslotto now employs 16 full-time and casual workers, leading to a recent expansion into a bigger and better location. Originally starting as a post office, Jo and Natalie decided to purchase the neighbouring newsagency and tattslotto outlets five-and-a - half years ago, and have never looked back! It’s success that has been recognised on the national stage, with the business awarded the Merit Award for Retail at the 2004 BEA Awards. Open Monday to Friday from 6am to 6pm, Saturdays from 6am to 1pm and on public holidays from 6am to 10am, Jo and Natalie said their future aspirations include growing with their new location, and to continually supply customers with all of their needs and requirements. The pair are also preparing for a busy Valentine’s Day on February 14, with the $20million Superdraw, the arrival of new gifts, and an Easter colouring competition also on the agenda.
