Appearing live on the Today Show as part of the morning show’s regular live weather crosses, Emma had the chance to visit a number of the region’s tour- ism hotspots yesterday and today, including the Mur- ray River, Mungo National Park and Trentham Estate. She had the chance to fish off the Mildura Wharf, while also taking a ride on one of the region’s iconic houseboats, with those images beamed live across the country. “Mildura is such a beautiful location,” Emma said. “This is my first time here and it’s absolutely gorgeous.” A member of the Today Show team for the past four years, Emma shares weather duties with Steve Jacobs, saying it was all about the location for the dynamic duo. “Neither Steve or I are trained meteo- rologists, for us it’s more about show- casing different parts of Australia,” she said. Mildura Tourism CEO Rod Trowbridge described the Today Show visit as a tourism win for the region. “Weather updates from around the nation are among the most watched segments on morning tele- vision,” he said. “Classic Mildura vision has been beamed into hundreds of thousands of homes over this two-day period, and that’s su- perb exposure for our region.” INSIDE New funding ensures Mildura’s Ice fight continues – Page 12 PHONE US 50 227 333 You Won’t Know What Yo u’ve Been Missing Meet John Keam, local Mildura businessman and satisfied client of Country Hearing Care.
