As they say ‘necessity is the mother of invention’ and some of the most successful examples of innovation in our local industry have come, not from doing more or not by working harder, but from changing farm produce, value adding, or embracing alternative methods of sale and marketing. The expo is being facilitated by Sunraysia Small Business Advisory Service in conjunction with Sunraysia Rural Counselling Service. Working closely with the Mildura Field Day Committee, SSBAS and SRCS were able to arrange for display sites within the D4P Expo to be made available free-of- cost to businesses that have diversified, value added, or initiated an innovative new process. ◊ Continued Page 11 Where diversity is the name of the game...
