Our Marketing Team We are proud of the fact that at Burns & Co we have our very own marketing department totally dedicated to marketing our brand and our client’s product. We take our own professional photos, create floor plans for all our residential listings, manage our own website, create our own marketing literature and have recently introduced our own ‘proper ty showcase’ – an extremely professional product that is updated every for tnight. We are soon to introduce floor plans and professional photos to all our residential properties for rent, which will be another first for our company and Sunraysia, and adds further value to our service Given the magnitude of the rebrand none of what you see would have been possible without our marketing team. Kacey and Anita provide a valuable resource to the overall business, understand the importance of professional marketing and attention to detail and have both been instrumental in all things to do with the rebrand – something that they should both be proud of. Our Sales Team The cornerstone of any real estate office is the sales depar tment, and this has certainly been the case at Burns & Co. The sales team – led by Ashley – offers a great combination of experience, youthful enthusiasm and its very own marketing depar tment. Currently enjoying a team of seven including long- standing members Ian Miers and Adriano Aiello – who are household names in Sunraysia – and Dennis Vining, who is well known across the region. Nick McCoy, Lisa Bailey and Tony Graham are more recent additions, providing valuable energy and enthusiasm which compliments our experienced members. Ashley is a well-known, well-respected auctioneer, and leads a sales team comfortable with either auction or private sales. The Journey By Ashley Burns Who would of thought that 13 years after driving down the highway from Broken Hill one evening that we would be celebrating this occasion. I remember it like yesterday, as all myself and Paula owned at that time was a mid-1990s Ford Falcon and an oppor tunity to own a real estate business. After being employed in the same job for 20 years the nerves were high. We had two young children, no family locally and had always lived in company-provided housing. We were playing for keeps. We moved into rented accommodation and the hard work began. Not knowing anyone was always going to be tough but the market place responded, and through hard work, staff recruitment, a suppor tive wife and a professional approach the wheels star ted to turn. When we purchased the business in 2001 there was a guy working there by the name of Ian Miers. He would prove pivotal in the survival and growth of our business. An unassuming guy who hadn't been there long and had only recently moved up from Melbourne, Ian has proved to be one of Sunraysia's leading estate agents over the past 10 years, and has been the cornerstone of our selling team. His involvement and commitment to the business should not be underestimated, and along with key, long-serving staff Adriano Aiello, Louise Skinner, Pam Car ter, Tammy McLean and others have helped shape this business into what it is today. Moving into our current office was a key moment. This occurred in 2003 and gave our business enormous exposure – something that is still important and put us on the map. In 2005 we invested into self storage, acquiring the AJ Self Storage facility on Seventh Street which allowed us further diversification, and its success has been the catalyst for other industry-related investments including plant, equipment and chattel valuations and auctions, removals, gardening and maintenance and our own trading shop. In the middle of 2013 our management team decided that our franchise brand was no longer representative of our whole operation, and so the journey of the rebrand began.
